Wish I remembered my ICQ number or even the email address it was attached to. I actually met my pen pal in Australia through ICQ. Cute girl, too.

I started with a 9600 baud modem. Back in the day before websites existed, and we used BBS instead

Helped a friend run one, and also met a gf through her dads bbs

I remember when US robotics was the shit. That solid steel 2400 baud modem was a brick. At least it's better than installing Kings Quest 5 on 14 High Density disks....and having disk 13 unreadable.
