shops for hummer h1

a friend of mine just purchased a hummer h1 and he is wondering where is the best place for servicing ? he knows the GM dealer on marine but he is wondering if there are any other speciality shop ?

turb0fr3ak 11-16-2011 09:56 PM

no

GabAlmighty 11-16-2011 10:23 PM

Not that I know of. But you're also asking this question on an "import/tuner" oriented site.

Post up on bc4x4 and you might get more responses.

Also, has your friend heard of google? He might be able to find a shop on there.

You can most of your chrome accents on eBay...Um lambo doors probably on ebay too. I know kal tire sells spinners so that'll be a good place to go.

Check out Canadian Tire for wheel LEDs.

Hope this helps.

I think that one went over your head...

1) most of the people that customize Hummers here are Jacks in Surrey and that's what they do them.

2) Who needs a specialty shop to service an Hummer...

FerrariEnzo 11-17-2011 04:22 AM

dude spends money on H1 but asks for other places to get serviced...

Wouldnt it be more beneficial to take it to the the dealer to get it serviced properly.. after all, its not just your average hummer...

Hehe 11-17-2011 06:15 AM

H1 is the SHIETTT!!

H2 and H3 are for pussies.

If the OP's friend doesn't take it off road, it's no different than a surrey jack H2, which considering this question seems unlikely.

heard it was going to snow, freaks out and buys a H1

dark0821 11-17-2011 09:22 AM

^ my thought exactly haha

But on topic I would think these things are build like tanks so minimal service required?

haulin oats 11-17-2011 09:25 AM

I believe Dueck is the only good place to service your friends H1.

Geoc 11-17-2011 09:31 AM

You could also drive it into a military base and get them to service it for free :troll:

It's probably just a 6.5TD/4L80E anyways. The only things mechanically different from a 3/4-1T Chevy diesel of the same era are the CTIS and body. The axles and suspension don't require a special shop since they're so basic.

The owner of this shop specializes in 6.5's and 4x4's:

Certigard (Petro-Canada)

holy H1, your friend experiencing gun fire recently?

drive that thing into aberdeen for lulz

SpartanAir 11-17-2011 11:06 AM

Wow how much did he pick up the H1 for? I've often wondered what happened to all of them.
Remember like 5-7 years ago when you saw H2's on the road all the time, most of them with 22's and/or spinners...where did they all go?

Better get rust treatment before that thing crumbles into dust.

Phil@rise 11-18-2011 09:25 AM

What does he need done? I am familiar with them and have a couple clients with them.
Is his diesel or gas?
