oh and i have upass i dont use every month so i can trade it for something ;) |
sell anyone a year of parking in the main lot off willingdon/Canada way for $200 :P |
I've been on and off parking @ lot N (I think thats the one. the lot near the trades area, facing willingdon/canada way). I've never been ticketed there. I've tried parking there for 2 straight weeks. I didn't want to risk it anymore so I just end up parking in the lot across from NE 6. Just sell your UPASS for $80~ and use that money for parking. It more or less evens out. It's roughly $21/week. |
1)buy a ticket 2)go home and scan the receipt 3)photoshop the date everyday 4) print = free parking. |
I don't go to BCIT anymore but when I did, I used to park in the gravel area parking lot and I would just write on a piece of paper saying "paid for parking, machine ate my money" and I would get away with it everytime or I would park at the temple and walk. |

when i was at bcit aerospace campus, the new one, they were talking about 7 bucks a day -_- what a rip. what we were explain to was that the building itself is on bcit land and the parking in on YVR land, so we have to pay airport parking rate -_- so figure anyone know the parking fee for aerospace campus now? oh, and what i did when i went to the main campus was to park up the hill of and walk down. nothing ever happened. no brake in or anything. the blank visa/gift card trick works at UBC as well. |

hey guys, just wanted to put this out there. I am a fellow BCIT student, and I drive and park my car at school everyday. I am now going to be more cautious of where I park my vehicle now... At the end of the day today my friend noticed that his black honda civic coupe (i'm guessing year 2008) was brutally side swipped or nailed into at the student parking lot near SW9 (BCIT Burnaby). The car is pretty badly damaged on the left quater panel, and actually shifted the vehicle over to part of the other stall. I know there is probably not much info given on the vehicle, but this is definitely a hit & run situation. If anyone knows any information or has witnessed this, please do PM me. This is on behalf of my friend/classmate. Thanks! |

Anyone know if the credit card trick works anymore? |

I have about 1k $ in impark tickets. Never paid them. They gave up after a while to keep sending me the tickets by mail. Just remember Impark is private company so they can't do anything about it other than tow your car from their property. If they would go to small claims all they would get is the parking rate for the day you got the ticket. They also only come once a week On the other hand, I wish it would be as easy at SFU. They have their own parking security, they check the lots every 2 hours or so and after the 2nd ticket, they boot your car. And while that might not be a big deal (you can just call the police and tell them they sequestrated your car, so when they come, they will take the boot off if you plain refuse to pay), I believe after that, they would just tow it (a thing impark would never do). So yea, I miss BCIT parking. Parked there for 2 years, and I think only once paid 4,50 for a day ticket. |
