Exactly if it's a single vehicle at fault collision against his insurance by the time his rates are back to where they are now OP would have paid more in the insurance premiums than the cost to simply fix it himself. Still waiting to see what OP claimed it under. Berz out. |

Lol maybe that's why the girl was so nice to you, "poor sucker has no idea he is going to be paying am arm and a leg on premiums." Posted via RS Mobile |
What's with the speculation, he can just call in and ask. |
icbc will replace your vehicle to as if it was never in one. Basically turning back time. Exterior mods are included, but only up to a certain limit.(i dont quite remember, i think its only up to $5000 for anything. Sound System i think is only up to $1000 if its bolted down) """I got my quote today via email and surprisingly enough she included new fog lights and a new front lip along with everything else that'd i'd expect. I didn't think they would cover such modifications that didn't come stock with the car. Very pleasantly surprised !""" icbc usually doesn't usually do that. unless u wanted icbc to help u out with it and they give u a quote of how much it would be. U prob got it under collision coverage which will actually bump up ur insurance. Now a lot ppl think its gonna bump u into surcharge, that's only the case if ur only at like -15% discount area. If ur into the -43% USUALLY it only makes a difference of about $50/yr. drop by any autoplan and get them to check out how much it would cost u more if u ever to get into an accident (claiming under collision) Call or e-mail back ur rep/adjuster and ask her how will this effect u after everything is done. U MITE wanna fix it ur self if its under or near your deductible. |
Where's the Op? |
Is this the same guy that was blaming his tuner shop for not installing his bumper correctly? He was positive that he didn't hit anything on the road and that it was due to poor workmanship. Now it's an ICBC claim, single vehicle accident? Also, he must be new to this insurance game. Deductible + premiums will be ten fold the price of buying a used bumper, painting and installing it. |
^ yup, that's him. |

Even if you were at -30%, for a small accident, it's probably not worth it to have ICBC pay it out. You might be paying slightly more per year, but you also have to factor in how much you COULD have been saving if you continued to move down the scale. |
So OP stopped talking hmmm  |
rs made op stop talking |
what was the shop called again? the one that he claimed for poor craftsmanship |
^ Evolution Auto Performance.. the one in Maple Ridge |
Maybe he just paid the $300 or $500 deductible and the premium doesn't go up if he is able to show that it wasn't his fault and it was just bad luck, no? *think windshield repair* If he didn't pay anything, most likely he will be charged a premium. Waiting on the respond from OP. |

That would be true, at times it mite not be worth it. thats y i said go see your autoplan agent and they can tell u how much more it will be. But it doesnt matter when ur at the lower -43% catagory, % u "could" be saving is still -43% less 1-3% on the side for optional. |
