Is a WRC replica kit rice? Well im thinking of picking up a 2007 Satin White Pearl STI this summer. I planning on just building it to around 350ish AWHP. Easyish enough. But as i thought about it more, being a fan of WRC, i started think of the replica kit. I have seen it on WRB subies, but never a white one(with black vinyl) and some matte black rota Svn-r's. I know it is personal preference and ill do whatever the hell i like. But i was just wondering general concensus on the situation. I am more of an OEM aerokit kinda guy(nice and clean), but i figure a WRC kit is subie, so why not. Ps- this is not a troll post lol Posted via RS Mobile |
Personally i dont think thatll look good. White is such a clean colour and i think it'd look f'd up with a bunch of black stars and whatnot. Blue or black sti's would look nice with the original yellow stars though. But still too tacky for a daily driven 'street' car. |

^ seen that car in person. That kit is serious business. Fucking sick Posted via RS Mobile |
Not rice at all, that kit is pretty clean |
if ur gonna use the car as a DD, then no dont do it |
|
lol rice.. no its not rice. its stupid because people are too cheap to buy a real STI.. which would probably be cheaper :suspicious: |

the kit that penguin posted is made by l'aunsport and the front bumper is $3483CAD it also is a wide body kit which means ull need f/r fenders, wide rear bumper to go with it the kit that targa posted is made by burn up and the front bumper is $1451CAD this kit is non wide body so u can go with the bumper only, then again with just the front bumper alone, it will not flow very well with the rest of the car its ur call, but personally its way too much (cost and looks, and maybe function) for a daily driven car if thats what ur gonna use it for |
That kit is worth more than the car i drive :okay: |

Once its painted to match, i think it would look very nice. Very aggressive. But $$$$$ |

Dat white STI! :megusta: |
Rice or not, i would totally drive one of these: http://www.rallybuzz.com/wp-content/...-555-mcrae.jpg Heck, before buying my current car, I actually thought long and hard about buying an early 90's Alfa so I could do something like this: http://motorbase.com/pictures/auctio...672/fs_315.jpg |
the 555 impreza were running under gr. A format... so the bodies on those cars were identical to the street cars (FRESHvibe's) car. evos 1-6 were running under gr A format, so all the street cars had the same body as the WRC contenders. evo 5 and 6 run the same identical wide body as the rally version |
No to the decals Posted via RS Mobile |
i think it strongly depends on the style/theme you are aiming for, full wrc theme with tons of decals might look out of place... but the mixture of oem and little bit of wrc touch can definitly look civilized and sexy |
You're going to have to look at L'aunsport, Burn Up, and Prodrive for parts and kits. If done right they usually look amazing... but I don't think it's worth it for a DD. |
ya, im looking at the burnup kit......specifically.....which gives a widebody look, but isnt actually wide body. Im aware of the pricing of the bumper, fenders for the kit. Im not overly worried about the price. So do you think the kit, minus the vinyl would look pretty hot? out of curiousity i would like to know how much it costs for a too fully decal it out. It would look sweet if i could drop like 1,000 for the decals and have fun for a couple months with them ;) |

I know this sounds odd but check out the 1:18 Autoart WRC models that aren't decaled out, they come in white if I remember correctly. That should be a good indication of what your car will look like on the street if you go this route. Edit: http://www.autoartmodels.com/web/pro...E27E34C26CA481 |
those "plain body" version of the race cars.. theyre quite nice sunstar came out with a matte black impreza WRC http://www.swapmeetmodels.co.uk/imag...ru-impreza.jpg crappy pic, but its a nice model |
