If you can pop by my shop, I have some Swissvax Opaque prewax cleaner and I'll try that for you.

not sure how this well this would work so take it with a grain of salt and do so at your own risk
but once when i was waxing my car, i wasn't being careful (and didn't take the time to put painters time on the black vinyl trim) and accidently got wax on the trim in various locations. i did a search online and that led me to a bunch of black trim restorers, and oddly enough, mr clean magic eraser. since i had a magic eraser at home i decided to give it a go. worked like a charm, took all the residue off (left some of it's own residue but that was removed with water and a cloth)
so maybe give that a try. again, do so at your own risk

thought i'd share my experiences that relate a bit more. i washed my car a few days ago and after drying it i noticed there was some wax residue on 2 parts of my car (one is CF wrapped with 3m dinoc, and the other is just a piece of matte black vinyl on my trunk lip to protect it from peoples fingernails)
took mr clean magic eraser to both and it's completely gone. i'd say it should work

haha no problem buddy, just glad i could help. as for waxing your matte black car, they make specific waxes for matte black - but i wouldn't cheap out on it. if you're gonna get a matte black specific wax, get something of high quality. but then again, if it messes up again at least you can fix it
as for the last 1% that remains on your car, try to give it another go with the magic eraser then throughly wash the car. the 1% might just be the streaks that the magic eraser leaves - which disappears with a wash

Mr. Clean magic eraser is the only thing i've found that cleans my vinyl wrap but be warned dont get it on painted finishes it'll start stripping the paint

as far as wax goes I use the Meguiars Quick Detailer it's Vinyl Wrap safe and leaves a nice ungreasy shine

use degreaser. i use it to strip wax off. or stop by lordco and get 303 vinyl cleaner. use a microfiber soaked in water or solution and it should dissapire.
make sure to add vinyl protection after.
if using degreaser do not let it sit for too long or it will stain.
if all fails which it should not, use steam cleaner. takes it off right away
