I just say some incredibly offensive things in a completely calm voice and they usually hang up on their own.

Not like angry things or death threats, not directed at the marketer...just seriously racist or otherwise offensive things.

My fav android app is call blocker.

dont sign up for the do not call list...the lists does get sold and you will get foreign telemarketers.

Doesn't bother me I don't answer calls that does not show their caller ID or is a 1-800 number

Where's the sauce on cell numbers going public? Because this rumor gets refreshed every other year it seems. But if I recall, BCRDukes is in the industry, which is why I didn't dismiss it as a stupid legend originally, and shared it on my facebook... :heckno:

I usually pick up and ask them politely "Can I put you on hold for a quick minute?" put them on hold and dont come back.

they're just trying to do the jobs that they admittedly, don't get paid very well for.
I don't know what they've ever done to piss you off personally, other than being annoying (which doesn't constitute as a legit reason to hate/bash someone).

how can you justify what they are doing just because they get paid shit. i think its fine to hate on them, because they are a nuisance, in fact i'll go so far to say their intrusive. Unless its government related or a census, they should go and get a real job.

after the first call i get from telemarketers or something along those line, i hang up right away and put it on my call blocker list...
if the number doesnt show, i dont answer

im already on a do not call list and i get called every fucking day at the same times by multiple telemarketers...pisses me off..

We had one telemarketer call THREE times in the same day. The third time they fucking called TEN MINUTES after the second call.

theyre often from countries where this is a top of the line job and options are limited and conditions harsh

My boss got annoyed coming in every morning to two or three spam faxes. So he called up the place to get himself removed from their list. They stopped for a couple weeks...

Then we started getting more, from a different "remove us from this list" number. Same faxes, though. Boss just got fed up and said "fuck it". Now he just uses scrap paper in the fax machine 'cause that's basically all that's coming out. I told him he should do the whole e-fax thing, so that you can see what it is and choose what to print.

But he's lazy.


The more you put your number out there, the more shit you'll get.

I enjoy fucking with them. Whenever they call I answer and mess with them, it takes them from an anoyance to something fun to do. That's not to say I want to get called everyday but once in a while can be fairly entertaining.

Just give them some reason to put them on hold like " brb water boiling let me turn off the stove and come back "

put phone down somewhere else, return to room and continue fapping.

The one I keep getting is the one that starts off with a god damn FOG HORN...wtf!

That motherfucking fog horn scares the shit out of me sometimes cause when you pick up, it doesn't play instantly. Instead, there's a delay of 2-3 seconds which makes me think that the caller hung up already.

That might be the fog horn one haha, I've been getting that one at least 3-4 times a week.

hmm next time maybe i should try calling back one of the automated telemarketers...maybe they have an option to remove from list?

do not bother putting you name on a DNC list. the list is silply sold to an off shore company that can call you without penalty OR cost EG: google voice/skype etc.

just invest in a call block app. there are also free ones. for iPhone = iBlacklist. Android = Mr.Number. unfortunately you still have to take 1 telemarketing call to get their number and add to your personal block list.

if you cant do that. waste their time the best you can. ask them to hold....walk away. Talk about unrelated things like pimples or how hard your shit was this morning. you get the idea.

don't bother calling back to complain or ask for removal. its useless. now they KNOW your phone # works.
