sugar rays gym vs astoria gym or any other boxing gym

anyone goes to sugar rays boxing on granville. they have the 300 for a year membership.
hows their coaching and instructors??? any good? do they now their stuff. do they teach you a lot of is it just one thing in one hour?

from what i hear they coach you whenever you come. there is not schedule.

how are they like compared to astoria gym on main st
both are the same price 300/year

best thing is to go there yourself and try a free class and see how you like it
i hear mix things about sugar ray, one friend loves it, while the other hates it
it depends on you, how dedicated you are, and what attitude you have in the gym, you might bond with the coach if you are really determined and not a cocky, argrant asshole lol, do what you are told, and you probably think any boxing gym is good.

don't go to sugar rays. you're paying strictly to use the facility but there is no coaching.

Been going to sugarrays for about 3 years, you have to be outgoing and upfront about your goals at the gym. They will teach you the basics and if you want to learn more its up to you, (ie u have to start running and start their weight program to show your serious) i do agree it seems as its just a facility type gym, but they do care.

ps which gym on fraser and marine?

in the basement of the hotel. I haven't been there in ages but last time I checked they combined with warrior boxing which use to operate out of the community center by QE.
