IIRC, I saw this car for sale recently?

If so, anyone sketchy come look at it?

CanadianJoker 12-04-2011 11:35 AM

The car was never for sale, I bought it 4-5 months ago home stock from a friend.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for it guys, but I'm sure it's in a scrap yard with everything missing off of it by now...

I'll keep an eye out....

oh that sucks man, I remember my friend had two of these cars, they were very easy to steal, he could literally unlock the door and start the car with just scissors just like it was the key to the car

Pretty much any Honda or Toyota of that age is easy to steal. 10 years ago I owned a 1990 Toyota Camry and my roommate owned a 1987 Honda Civic. We could open and start each others car with our keys, then we tried screw drivers and were just as successful.

Eyes open in Port Moody

same as volkswagens

dee242 12-05-2011 03:34 AM

just curios did they steal it over night and did u have the steering wheel in when they stole it

CanadianJoker 12-05-2011 05:07 PM

Yes it was at night, between 9:30pm and 8am. The wheel was in the car, I didn't think anyone would come into my little street and swipe my car to be honest, I used to leave my Skyline unlocked and nothing ever happened to it....
Lesson learned I guess.

k3mps 12-05-2011 05:51 PM

that's definitely a eye catcher.
looking out in burnaby!

StylinRed 12-05-2011 05:52 PM

Damn, where abouts in Ridge are you? Must be off the beaten path a bit, or you're one trusting guy! :(

I'll keep my eyes open Pitt/Tri-City

Fingers crossed she doesn't get molested

In between the Haney bypass and lougheed, there is very little traffic up on my street, and every one here is looking out for everyone else.
I personally think the car is stripped... I'm starting to save for an ls400 now, I can only hope it turns out at cool as the Cressida tho.

I parked my car around that area once and I was stupid enough to leave the doors unlocked and I got a call from the RCMP saying that my doors are unlocked in a high crime area and the cop was nice enough to lock them for me. The only thing I don't understand is how he got my number I guess he punched in my license plate number and my info showed up.

So I guess that area is highly watched after but thieves still tend to do there job

CanadianJoker 12-06-2011 07:40 PM

Car was found, just got the phone call from the RCMP. Its currently at a tow shop in Mission. Locks are punched out, ignition is smashed, stereo is gone....

I doubt its worth trying to fix, I think I'm just going to pull some parts off it and scrap it.

bcrdukes 12-06-2011 07:43 PM

^
Sorry to hear about that but if you need a donor car, I have one for you. It's an 86 Cressida. My dad needs to get rid of it. PM me for details.

CanadianJoker 12-06-2011 07:52 PM

Thanks for the offer, I may pm you after I see the car in person. After looking into what I really wanted to do with the car, I think it might just be better to move onto a newer chassis.

SumAznGuy 12-06-2011 07:56 PM

Did they steal the wheels?

I bet those wheels aren't too common.

CanadianJoker 12-06-2011 07:57 PM

the rcmp officer said that they were on the car, so im hoping the coilovers and wheels are still there... only thing worth keeping besides the stereo

fliptuner 12-06-2011 09:42 PM

I hope the wheels and suspension are still in tact. If they are, it was definately stolen by morons.
