I don't know what this new Spartacus is missing. He looks pretty close...maybe a little too young for the role but still. He doesn't have the emotional range that Andy Whitman displayed as season 1 got into the later half.

While the feel of what Andy brought to the series is missing, I find myself fortunate that they found someone who actually LOOKS like Spartacus from the first season...

Imagine how much weirder it'd be if they chose a guy that looked nothing like him.

I thought this series was going to suck when I saw the first two episodes.

It's been pretty damned awesome. Would've been even better with Andy Whitman...
