IIRC really low license plate numbers are prestigious in Dubai

some license plates are more expensive than the cars....my uncle lives there and he was telling me one of the cousins of the sheik has a LP-640 which costs prolly 370000 and his plate is the number 10. His plate costs 400,000 which is fucked.

lol special licence plates are auctioned in HK for millions, tons of rich ppl bid for them. In 2008 the licence plate 18 which stands for "lucky for sure" in chinese was sold for 2 million US.

Now lets talk about THE license plate...

Some say that it belongs to the ruler of Dubai but they have no clue that his number 1 plate is a government plate and those kind of plates are only for the government.

Some say that if it was to be sold it will easily go for 40 million USD after the Abu Dhabi plate was sold for 18 million but they have no idea that few have offered the owner over 50 million but he did not even consider it.

Some say that it was never even put on a car since no car would be worthy of that plate.

Some say a man stared at it for too long after his laser eye surgery and never recovered.

You will say that it's just a piece of metal and you will rather have 20+ Veyrons with that money!

All I can say is you would never know...

OP: How much does pump gas cost over there? Obviously they produce tonnes of crude but I don't know if they have their own refineries etc. (E.g. Nigeria/Iraq produce ample crude but have some of the priciest fuel prices in the world due to lack of refineries).
