Whistler restaurants My bf and I are heading to Whistler over Christmas... I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for some good restaurants? I have not been to Whistler in years and I have googled some restaurants, but it is hard to tell if they are good with no personal recommendations... Looking for something a little different, causal, good atmosphere, etc. We enjoy all type of food but are looking for something a little more than a steak-house type place... Cost is not a concern. Thanks :) |

We said fuck the family bullshit this year and are having "naked" xmas :) we are there from 23rd to the 27th. Can't wait!! |
Bearfoot, Araxi. Zog's. Splitz. Have fun. Naked xmas eh.. |
please, please please... whatever you do, do not eat at Chinese Bistro! Its the one right beside a japanese restaurant on top of showcase store and right behind the zoggs stand. I was craving chinese food when i was up in whistler so i tried that place. Prices are as expensive as kirin but the food was crap and so was the service. I urge you to stay away. for good restaurants it depends on what meal of the day. Breakfast: -BG urban grill -Cafe Montagne (awesome crepes and waffles) Lunch: -Earls (pulled pork sandwich is pretty good) -Splitz Grill -Bearfoot -Zoggs Dinner: -Araxi -21 steps |

Do yourself a favor dinosaur, and head there! :D |
Most of my favourites already mentioned: Cafe Montagne for breakfast Araxi/Rim Rock Cafe nice for dinner, but can get pricey. I like going to Dubhlinn Gate (Irish Pub) for lunch or Zogg's for a quick bite. |
Was up at Whistler this past summer and tried out Cafe Montagne for breakfast. The food was delicious and service was top notch. I don't know how busy they are during the winter season, but during the summer, it was busy. So make sure you head there early. http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_2753.jpg http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_2755.jpg |

+1 for earls. went there everytime i went up to earls. |

+1 for Araxi. If you want a more casual pub atmosphere, go to Citta, right in the middle of the Village. Some wicked pub food there. If you don't mind a short drive (15-20 minutes) there are a couple of good places in Pemberton. The Wood Bistro, right behind the Petro Canada when you come into town, is fantastic, and they have the most incredible crab-and-mushroom bisque. Oh... and for breakfast: Southside Diner, creekside. Takes "greasy spoon" to a whole new delicious level. |
is the samurai sushi the same one here in Vancouver? aka big size? |
Bump. Araxi or Bearfoot? I am looking to go tomorrow night. Bearfoot only has 63% rating on Urbanspoon... Any other ideas welcome :) Posted via RS Mobile |

Bearfoot is suppose to have a better wine list, but I don't drink wine. Posted via RS Mobile |
For the price between the three ill take Hy's although the Hy's in whistler feels more like a Keg than the Van location As posted above 21 steps is great and good value Posted via RS Mobile |
Araxi!!! One of THE best meals I've ever had. Amazing food, service and a beautiful space. Posted via RS Mobile |
