LOL that's awesome. Honestly if you want quiet that badly go home/buy noise cancelling headphones/sleep during the day and study at night. Complainers I do hate it when people talk in silent areas, but noise cancelling headphones + classical music = I can study anywhere

Call the librarian or security if it is a silent zone. I hate people that talk loudly in libraries or study areas. The girl is right to be mad but her reaction is a bit over the top.
I've never gotten the hang of studying in libraries.
It's a closed space with tons of people who are just waiting to jump into your seat the moment you stand up, and the ventilation is fucking horrible compared to the abundance of open spaces you can find around campus (if you know where to look). On top of that, you feel like you're under constant surveillance to not eat, drink, or even talk.
If anything, libraries put me under more stress than I already am studying for finals.

I used to love studying on the sixth floor of the library @ sfu during semester. Now going there feels so awkward/depressing/makes me panic. I'd much rather sit in an open space with headphones on
If we are not able to ask skeptical questions, to interrogate those who tell us that something is true; to be skeptical of those in authority, then we're up for grabs..
