HBO Sports' groundbreaking "24/7" reality franchise, which has captured 14 Sports Emmy® Awards, will again join forces with the National Hockey League® to take viewers inside one of the NHL's great rivalries -- the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Rangers. 24/7 FLYERS/RANGERS: ROAD TO THE NHL WINTER CLASSIC will follow the two clubs simultaneously, chronicling their highs and lows each week. The build-up and excitement surrounding the rivalry reaches its apex when they meet in the fifth edition of the NHL's annual outdoor game -- 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on Jan. 2 at Citizens Bank Park™ in Philadelphia.
Head coaches Peter Laviolette of the Flyers and John Tortorella of the Rangers, along with a host of key players, are in the spotlight as the two clubs battle through their busy December schedules.

"It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good ... They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time. "
Highlights for me...Bryzgalov. He is just awesome.
Talbot and the Christmas sweater.
And that part right before the Callahan goal near the end. Music, voiceover by Richards and Torts...the music picks up at the right time. Amazing. Chills. Great film making by HBO. They turn hockey into art.
...and I can't be the only one thinking that if games were just straight up broadcast with these camera angles, that might be pretty fucking rad.
Hopefully the guys that do the NFL films will do something with hockey soon. I remember reading somewhere that Bettman worked out a deal with those guys.
