Alright all y'alls. New Years Eve typically signals the end of our season so I want to thank all of the volunteers. The last driving team is on their way home right now and everyone got a lot of people home tonight.

The folks who volunteered deserve your thanks and you can show that literally by finding one of their posts and hitting the "Thanks" button. The list is as follows:

Anyhow, not everyone got to drive this year (just like last year) but its awesome that you guys were ready and willing to help out. For those of you who did drive, thanks for donating your time, your fuel, and your vehicular resources for a good cause. you should be happy with the good work you did.

One more thing. Tiger_Handheld. You PM'd me on Dec 1st to schedule a pickup on Dec 31st and I never heard from you. Its almost 5am and I'm not sure what happened to you. I hope you got home okay. I've told the drivers that they should probably go to bed at this point but if you need a ride, you know the number.


So to close, thank you all for making this a safe and happy holiday season. Happy New Year. And please remember that even when we don't offer this program we still want you to make responsible transportation choices when you're enjoying yourself. We all have friends and family on that road and we'd rather see you take a cab ride than a risky drive home.

Another year down, another year where I'll say it again that I'm not sure I'll be able to do this next year. :p

But, if I'm sober and not otherwise occupied on NYE/New Year's, I'll probably be on standby, again.

On behalf of Revscene Management Council, I would like to say how happy and proud I am of the members that participated and helped out with this campaign. Huge props to EB for leading the way and of course the volunteer crew that did the driving.

To those that needed a ride, i hope you said your thanks to the people that gave up time in their holiday schedule to make sure that a fellow member got home safely.

FYI, we will be having our debriefing meeting this coming Sunday. Others are welcome to join us, as it has always been an open invite sort of thing. We will be discussing what worked and what didn't. It will also give us all a chance to meet one another. Some new members, some not so new.

Alatar and I will be buying coffee for everyone who arrives between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM at the upper parking lot of the Coquitlam Ikea.

Sorry, but we were not setup for Christmas. However, if all things work out, we should be ready for New Years. The procedure has always been to call the dispatcher. El Bastardo has agreed to be our dispatcher again. I'm not sure which of his many phone numbers he will use this year. Stay tuned.
