Can you guess how much a 4 megapixel Canon D2000 DSLR cost in 1998?



Here is a FAX from Canon HQ advising dealers on the MSRP. No e-mails in those days! We found this in a drawer today.

thats pretty incredible. We often forget digitalphotography is so new, and dSLRs weren't really available to the masses until 2007-2008.

I remember working for a dot com back around 2000 that did cataloguing of digital images. We had a Fuji 6mp DSLR I believe and it cost the company around $16k at the time. How times have changed!
