Cold room on 2nd Hey, on the 2nd floor of my parents house there is one room thats very cold hoping u guys have some suggestions on how to warm up the room i took some pictures the bottom of the room is fully insulated don't know about the other walls http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/3...1121600009.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us |
Doesn't matter if it's insulated cause they used soffit material to cover the insulation. Now there's (cold) air circulating under the floor. |
so if i use some sort of vapour barrier to keep the air out of there would that solve some of the problem?? |
vapor barrier Vapor seal it with that plastic stuff. Then seal it up. Should stop cold air from getting in. |
thanks guys that's a easy fix will try to do it this weekend and will report back |
you can do a vapour barrier, or best would be to do a layer of exterior grade drywall under the insulation....but make sure the vented soffit is a couple inches below the board |
Must have been built after final inspection. |
