That is/was expected for the whole run. Ron Paul is not a republican, he's a Libertarian and should be running for the libertarian nomination instead.

As long as he's in the top 3 I'd consider that he's already won. He has/will light a fire under the youth liberty movement that will make it impossible for anyone to ignore in the next generation.
