Will shaw 500GB HD PVR go on for cheaper than $198?
 

just wondering what i should do in terms of the shaw PVR, if i should buy it now for the $198 its going for, or do u think it will get any cheaper for boxing day sales etc.?

also if i was to get gift cards to a futureshop/Bestbuy, where would be the best place to get gift cards to in order to purchase one? both places carry them?

Try calling the Chinese hotline for shaw, they usually bargain down for sales items since Chinese ppl do it all the time.

do a promo plan for one year - tell them you want options, and they will offer you the box for $99. i bought out my hd 500gb pvr for 99+tax earlier this month.

household is already with shaw for TV and internet, will they give me a promo price on an additional box? we currently have 1 HD box, and one of the older silver motorolla HD PVR's

i dont think it will get cheaper for boxing day.

anyways .. if you've been a long term customer, shaw will replace your digital box (that you own) and swap for an HD box.. 3200

You can buy gift cards anywhere. Superstore for example sells both FS and BB cards, I believe 7-11 and Petro does too.

im asking more in terms of where i should get gift cards to in order to get the potential best deal on the PVR

Yes they both do but try calling retentions first before proceeding. Could possibly use Bell as a comparison as they are literally handing out the PVRs for nothing. I just called in 2 months ago and asked to renegotiate my retentions deal as it was coming to an end and in a split second their like how about a free PVR and $20 off for a year? sold!

yeah ive got one of those original moto dcts that im supposed to get replaced for a new digital receiver so i can watch vod rather just wait if i can get an HD one soon
