My wife doesn't even know what an internet "meme" is...

If I did that when I proposed she would have been like: "Why are you showing me weird pictures?"

All I did was get down on one knee, when my wife turned her back, and proposed. Effort like that video is beyond my ability to ingratiate myself, and would've set a dangerous precedence for future gift giving.

Call me insensitive... but I really thought it was a lame way to propose. Way too creeper, in no way "romantic" or to make her feel special about it.

That's just me though. Far too impersonal, far too distant, scripted... but in such a lackluster manner.

I said yes (which I should not have, in retrospect), but 3 weeks later he fucked a hobbit and left town. this was after 9 years together. it was awesome.

all good now :D
