Shipping and Tax on Used Items
Tried to search around for this topic but couldn't find the answer. I'm thinking of buying a used camera on ebay. The buyer is from the US and will be shipping through USPS. If the buyer clearly marks the item as a "used camera", will it still be fair game to be taxed?
Yes, anything of monetary value needs to be declared. With that said, it is up to the CBSA agent's discretion whether to charge you duty/taxes for the item.
