Coquitlam Cineplex VIP Theaters

I went to watch Mission Impossible 4 and was curious about the VIP Theaters so I went to check it out. After buying my tickets I walked through the "VIP" entrance and the first thing I see is the bar The place looks like lounge really cool environment. I had the urge to order a drink and just like that i had my rum and coke in my hands sitting at the bar. Now the part where I was most blown away was the theater seats. I would say its like the Ultra AVX but 10 times better. Bigger seats with extended arm rest and fold out mini tables extra padding on seats and arm rests, in seat food and drink service. Overall experience was great I highly recommend.

I went to it last night, I used my scene points to get me and my gf tickets soo 2000 points for = 39 Dollars of tickets. Awesome seats, I thought it was sick you can order food and they will deliver it to your seats during previews. I was tempted to order some sweet and spicy chicken but I just finished eating at wings. I would go again, but it would have to be a good movie to actually pay the $19.50 a ticket

19.50 is for the experience not the movie.

Cineplex is talking to the Government at the moment in the hopes of getting the liquor laws changed so that you can have drinks while watching the movie in the theatre. Will be interesting to see if they are successful (I have my doubts). Not sure if it will result in a better experience overall, or instead a worse experience dealing with drunks during a movie.

$19.50 doesn't seem like that much of a premium from what they're charging these days, haven't been to the movies in a while though...

Is this on schoolhouse street by SFU? I always go to that theater. Will be badass watching movies in that theater, I was already pretty floored by the ULTRAavx.

Dr. Funk you can order a beer/drink, and take it into the movie or you have to consume it outside of the theater?

I saw Sherlock Holmes there a couple weeks back. I actually found it to be very reasonable in terms of prices, once you're in the VIP area. The food, the drinks, etc. are all priced very well.

The seating is great. Leather, comfy, etc. The very front row actually reclines, too! Actually wouldn't mind the front row for a change!

You're allowed drinks in the theater, but you're not allowed to bring your drink from the bar INTO the theater or vice versa.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm 99% sure that's the case.

You can get restaurant style appetizers and dishes that taste good that are comparable to what you would pay at a restaurant. If not slightly better priced, even.
