W. 4th and Burrard.

Pacific Boarder, Comor, Boardroom and a couple other shops at that location.

Is that Fun in the Sun place on W 4th still around? They often had great prices on board pants / jackets. Been so long I cant remember if they have boots as well but probably worth a phone call...

Went to comor on boundary last year, they hooked me up with extra discounts even on their sale boots. 400 to 220 and then down to 170. It may have also helped that I was buying a new snowboard along with it.

If you end up buying online, be very sure to try them at a local store first, the fit is quite important with snowboarding.

size 13? what are you a clown?

j/k

I'm surprised no one mentioned ebay. Usually you can find some new products there for pretty cheap too. (legit too, not fake)

don't buy boots without trying them on. Should be common sense, but the savings online aren't worth it if they don't fit well.

The comment about west 4th is your best bet, so many shops there. My personal Preference is BoardRoom, and you'll find they actually have 3 stores there. new 2012 stuff in the main store, last years stuff next door (boots upstairs) and a 3rd store with everything else left over in it. I found the GF a nice pair of 32s upstairs in the middle store for less than the shit at sport chek, just because they were last years.

call first, but going down there wouldn't be a wasted trip. Parking kinda sucks, I park on street down, 3rd I suppose.

Hope you find something!

Another shop that hasn't been mentioned yet is North Shore Ski and Board on Lonsdale in North Van.

But the main drag for snowboard equipment is definitely at 4th and Burrard.

I'm a boarder.
Take it from me, if there is one thing you don't want to cheap out on, it's your boots.

But crappy pants, crappy jacket, bindings or even a board. But don't ever skimp on your boots.
They are strapped to your feet and determine how comfortable you are riding. Will they hurt, do they support you the way you ride?

This.
I always thought riding brings on uncomfy in the feet a lil bit.
Bought a pair of Burton boots and was amazed. Really comfortable.
That feeling of taking off your boots after riding is less enjoyable since im already comfortable in them
(proper socks is also very important IMO. when wearing casual socks, the band part hurts my skin when the boots are tied up. bought a pair of long boarding socks that go a lil higher than the shoe. perfect)

I gotta say the boa technology is probably best investment ever. I got some vans boa boots they were 220 retail before taxes yes its a little steep but totally worth it! If your going for cheap gear... I would avoid doing that for your boots. Comfort does wonders when ur riding the slopes.

There are a lot of brands that EVO doesn't ship outside of the states, I tried ordering a pair of k2 boots and they wanted me to drive to their warehouse in Seattle. If you're able to do the drive, it's fine, but otherwise, getting stuff from them is a pain.

I've used the single pull speed lacing system for a couple years now. My boots have taken a lot of abuse but the laces are still as strong as ever. It's similar to boa setups in the sense that if your lace busts, your day is over too.

My old pair of boots were boa. I've never broken them, however they only had one adjustment knob so I would always end up with the top section being tight enough but the foot being too tight. Also for some reason they would keep loosening up throughout the day.

I would never have them ship it here. the difference in shipping cost is huge! right now its free domestic shipping. If shipped here is almost $40. I am aware that for some people, point Roberts is a far drive but anyways that's where I get it shipped and it arrives within a few business days. No need to drive all the way out to Seattle to their warehouse.

Sports junkies on broadway and manitoba is alright. Bought my boots there for 30$. Albeit, they were 10 years old. Still comfy and durable. You can get a decent used pair for like 80$. And the prices go down the longer the items stay there. They also have a decent stock on coats, shoes, and bike equipment. They also have rentals.
