single gtx 560 . it'll play the recent games with high to max settings and leaves room for a sli path with another 560 in the future, which will be cheap |

I think you should get single as well, sli 550's wont last much longer and soon you'll have to replace both. with the 560 you can add another

I haven't even bothered to look at amd cpu's for a while.
How does yours perform compared to i5 2500k?
I was going to recommend the 560ti as well. I bought the MSI Hawk version, which is oc'd to 950, and goes to 1020 easily, and memory a lot higher. It costs more ~$250 but the cooler is sweet.
the 560ti 448 is also a good card, pretty much a 570. If you OC it.. >

Hope this helps, I'm not sure how credible the source is though.
As for your build Turbo E, how much did you spend?
And have you had a chance to test the Corsair Vengeance ram yet?

the fx4100 was $109 + tax. the ram works fine on this board. currently OK to only 4Ghz to keep things quiet and cool. have not played with voltages or anything. 16GB ram was only like $90. Mobo was $100.
case was like $30 after rebate
PSU was $40 I think after rebate. long time ago.
video card is like $50 now i think i paid $90 on clearance at staples.
WTF is cinebench? sounds like a graphics benchmark

NCIX had the HIS IceQ 6870 for $160. I thought that was a pretty good deal as that one is factory overclocked.
GTX560 Ti outperforms the 6870 a bit better, but I'd recommend 6870 just incase in the future you want to upgrade, you can just Xfire. AMD Xfire ratio is quite impressive (almost double the FPS in most games)

The 560ti for 159 is even crazier. Galaxy brand though and sold out.
