Just because they sell it, doesn't mean you can bring it over lol. Don't forget, American Costco - they were previously (shitload of Canadians now) catering to Americans.

Chicken tournedos, white rice and some carrots :)

TouringTeg 04-15-2012 06:16 PM

Marinaded chicken breasts (maple syrup, dijon, balsamic, garlic etc, baked, reheated), roasted asparagus tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper, and quinoa. Was damn hungry after running 19km today.

First time making Quinoa

A couple chunks of Sockeye on a bed of quinoa, Grilled Zucchini and mushrooms.

bcrdukes 04-24-2012 10:25 PM

How are you cooking the quinoa?

ShadowBun 04-24-2012 11:25 PM

I personally just cook it like rice but add a bit of salt

hud 91gt 04-25-2012 03:25 AM

I just followed the instructions on the back. Just like rice, but easier.

SkinnyPupp 04-25-2012 06:31 AM

No grill tonight unfortuantely, just panfried these grass fed oyster blade steaks, and 4 eggs in coconut oil, for my 2nd dinner tonight

They taste kind of 'livery' which I assume is a really good thing, so I'll be buying a lot more of this beef. It is really cheap compared to other cuts, but still really fatty and tender. Not big on the taste, but it's more important to eat healthy

lowside67 04-25-2012 10:47 AM

Probably a silly question, but how can a meal be with absolutely no fruits or vegetables be healthy?

I'm glad you asked. I've been wondering this myself.

subordinate 04-25-2012 12:22 PM

These meals are usually our (well speaking for myself) post-workout meals. Which is usually just good fats and protein - lots of it.

We do eat vegetables/fruits, but most of the time, it's just boring ol'vegetables and I figure, who wants to look at pictures of fruits/vegetables?

My steak with a side of 3 eggs looks a lot better, so I'd post that lol.

What subordinate said. Just because one meal doesn't have fruits or veggies, doesn't mean others don't.

Anyway, if you look at all the pictures posted, most of them have plenty of fruits and/or vegetables. This is the first pic I posted that doesn't have any in it... In fact, almost every picture has vegetables in it except for these 'supplemental meals' posted by myself, and most of Halo's pics because he probably eats 12 times a day and if there were veggies in each one he'd have to live on a toilet.

jeffh 04-25-2012 07:52 PM

fuck veggies

i get my veggies from steak, cows eat grass, i eat cows

therefore i ate grass as well

(no srs lol)

Can you guys posts some simple marinates for chicken or beef? I'm getting pretty tired of soy sauce, salt and pepper, soy sauce and hot sauce, soy sauce and pepper...you get the idea.

Simple, simple, really simple stew recipes would be a huge bonus.
