This one? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1899353/
Welsh director so probably in English. Trailer doesn't look like there's time for talking though :fuckthatshit:

TL604 01-13-2012 03:33 PM

.. epic

Everymans 01-13-2012 03:41 PM

I'm always weary of movies with such simple titles. But that trailer kicked ass. Haven't seen a good straight up action movie in eons.

JDął 01-13-2012 03:44 PM

It's so beautiful.

looks good thanks for sharing, I like these kind of movies and it reminds me of elite squad 2 I saw recently, except Raid doesn't look like it has anything else to offer except great fight scenes which is fine for an action movie

but if you guys dig these types of movies, definitely check out Elite Squad 2 Enemy Within, it has everything ! action, grit and a great story, total package

The movie I posted? Looks great man, it's not all Hollywood censored shit. It's gory and full of action. It's done right IMO.

SkinnyPupp 01-13-2012 07:42 PM

I didn't mean that it's automatically a bad thing. Although the fact that it is made in Korea does mean it's automatically a bad thing :fuckthatshit:

J-Chow 01-14-2012 12:43 AM

hmmm speaking of which,

How about the movie Old Boy and the movie about war? The korean movie about the war was the only movie in my life where i actually cried

SkinnyPupp 01-14-2012 02:41 AM

OK one good movie came out of Korea. Just like people keep citing Infernal Affairs as a sign that there are still good films coming out of Hong Kong past 1999. 1 movie every 10 years isn't exactly an accomplishment.

StylinRed 01-14-2012 03:27 AM

been posted a couple times in the entertainment thread but yeah looks interesting

you didn't like Elite Squad ?? how come bro ? it got pretty much unanimous acclaim from critics and winner of a few festivals..
I'd actually have to say the opposite, after watching the movie and then watching this trailer again, that the trailer doesn't even do the movie justice, this is one rare case where the movie is better than the trailer.
It's got the best of all worlds, something for the gangsters, something for the socially conscious, and plenty for those who want an interesting plot and story line in a movie.

I will say though Elite Squad has a lot of story to it that you gotta follow to really enjoy the movie, but it's not that complicated because you will know exactly who the good guys and the bad guys are by the end of it.

StylinRed 01-14-2012 08:30 AM

well i went in expecting an action police/gangster brazillian movie (from the trailer) with a mix of the departed/the wire/the godfather (as advertised) instead i got a drawn out boring movie that didn't deserve to be compared to the departed/the wire/the godfather

maybe its because i had crappy subtitles but i doubt it, maybe i was expecting much more in terms of intrigue in my opinion the movie was really a->b->c there was no "oh whats next?" it was "so when i guess that's gonna happen next... yep"

it wasn't horrible mind you i was just disappointed ;) still gave it a 6/10 still in the movie thread

It's Indonesian...

Culverin 01-14-2012 12:36 PM

Aren't Korean fight scenes brutal?
Way more realistic than the pg. rated violence in Hollywood movies.

Likewise, a lot of Asian movies are very no holds barred when it comes to what is shown on screen.
I have high hopes for this.

Will definitely be checking out elite squad.

Tim Budong 01-14-2012 05:19 PM
