Windshield Wiper Suggestions
 

What are some of the aftermarket windshield wiper you have put on your car?
Which ones have you used that was awesome? Which one sucked and barely lasted?

-PIAA Forza Hybrid looks awesome, but a bit too pricey at $40 a piece

Other ones I looked at:
- PIAA Silicone
- PIAA Si-Tech
- Rain-X Horizon (Canadian Tire)
- Michelin Stealth (Costco)


Any other recommendations? Preferably in the $10-$20 range.

Michelin stealth sucks, I had to keep exchanging mines to get streak and noise free blades.

My last set of blades were Bosch Evolutions and I found those to be pretty good.

I am using Michelin Stealth wipers since Nov and it's streak/noise free so far. IF it starts becoming shitty, i'll just pop in a new drivers blade for $12 and i'm good to go.

It really depends on the curvature of the windshield i think.

bosch icon. Pretty pricey though.

I use the michelins from Costco. 12 bucks any size...you cant go wrong.

U can't go wrong wih either Piaa or bosch, the main thing to remember is to make sure ur windshield doesn't have rock chips as they will cut up the wiper blades leaving streaks no matter how good ur wipers r

Bosch Icon is prob the best one. Pricey indeed.

Im using Bosch Icons

They're around in the $24-26 range each wiper at Lordco. It would be great if you have a discount there too

im using the bosch evolution for the 3rd year now, still runs perfectly fine with no streaks and noise

I had Michelin Stealth's from Costco, installed them in the summer and took them off in December cause they're streaking. Using Goodyear Assurance (Costco USA) right now, they're pretty good but a bit loud and couldnt beat the price @ $8/wiper.

On average, how much does PIAA's oem refill cost? The ones where you insert into your own OEM blade.

How many of you guys have used the steel wool method for cleaning your windshield? Google search brings up people who are either for or against the idea.

I noticed that when my wipers swipe, I can see white spots that slowly fade away. Would steel wool cleaning fix that?

Used to use the Bosch Icons, but for the price, they sure wear out quick. Good for bout 3 momths, then they get all smeary. Lately been using the Bosch Steel Series from Walmart in the US. The last bout 3-4 months, but at $9 a pop, I don't mind changing them regularly.

how many of you are smart enough to clean your wiper blades? wipe them down with a soapy sponge when you wash your car. youll be amazed at the black tar that comes off of them (road grime) and how much longer they go before leaving smears on your glass.

I always just buy the cheapest blades I can find and replace them once a year in the fall. But we don't get as much rain here.

PIAA silicones from Overseas Auto (or pdm racing)

i used rainx before.. not bad..

Valeo or Bosch for me.

i just installed PIAA Forza Hybrid + Rainx solution few weeks ago, works great!

Funny. I usually either run OEM or cheap CT ones. So long as you wife down the blades every time you wash your car, thy last a long time. I've ran Bosch and Piaa before and they were no better than the cheaper alternatives.

What car are you installing it on? Price changes accoridng to length but Bosch Icon's Or the valeo alternative is great. But honestly I found OEM wipers being the best. They lasted longer than the aftermarkets.

I'm giving these a try. Silicon like the PIAAs but you don't have to mess around with wiping anything on your windshield first.
