thanks, snoop.......... Any of you guys have a free shipping promo code? |
how do you use this as face value? I read that since it is "non circulating legal tender" (NCLT) bank will not exchange this and you can only exchange it at coin dealer or back to RCM |
Bank can exchange them: Quote:

Called RCM and they will not sell them to us mere mortals until Thursday. |
Ordered three wolf coins just now. Didn't have free shipping code, but it's better to get it now than risk missing one in the series......... so hooked on it. Apparently, the hockey one is still available. Lady who took the call tried to sell me more, LOL. BTW, their website is damn slow right now. Phone call was a 10 minute wait. Faster than the webpage loading......... |
So that's eight issues of the 20 for 20 coins, amiright? Royal Canadian Mint - To be the best Mint in the world Royal Canadian Mint The Wolf is not on their website yet. |
Link to the wolf coin: $20 for $20 Fine Silver Coin - Wolf (2013) Ordered my 3, and also tried to order one more hockey coin, but it wouldn't let me use the 2.99 shipping for the whole order until i removed the hockey coin. |
no free shipping? Posted via RS Mobile |
Free shipping on orders over $69 code: groundship69 Order the 3 coins and then add $20 Hockey coin (if you didn't order your limit yet), or something else that'll push it over $69. |
The site is lagging like no tomorrow Posted via RS Mobile |

This reminds me of when I was young and collected odd looking coins. my parents rented our basement to this guy andy and he always had tons of change. He let me go through it and look for the cool stuff, I'd trade normal money for the cool shit. I remember I had a dozen of those dimes with the fish on them from 1967. Gave him a dime for them, they're worth about 1$ each at minimum. They can sell for up to 200$ if you get one with no wear, which was next to impossible. It can pay to look out for some of these coins and save them, especially the limited edition releases. Those month quarters are already gaining. |
ah, the Centennial coins........ let's see, the nickel was the rabbit and the dime, I remember. I have to google the rest now......... I have a set on ten consecutive serial numbered Centennial dollar bills. Edit: http://members.shaw.ca/kcic1/coins3.html I'm a philatelist, but stayed away from numismatics |
For anyone interested, Canada Post is issuing a Gates of Chinatown set of stamps - depicting gates from various Chinatowns throughout Canada (who knew?). http://www.canadapost.ca/shop/p-341953.jsf Limied edition set which includes a few interesting items, like 200 year old Chinese coins, not normally available at post offices. Limited to 88, 888 sets. Goes for $88.88 Lucky 8's! |
I got my $20 Wolf coins today. The Purple Coneflower with Venetian Glass Butterfly - Mintage: 10000 (2013) is available soon but you gonna have to line up at the Mint store to get it since it's already sold out. Masterclub members who don't frequent coin forums didn't even get a chance to buy it. By the time MC members received the email it was already sold out. http://i49.tinypic.com/ibyyxl.jpg |
Wolf coins showed up this morning in the mail......... that was damn fast. |
Anyone know if this is true, the person behind the counter at the Mint store said they will start charging tax on all coins starting April 1? |
As far as I know there has always been tax on all coins except precious metal coins that are 99% + or finer. Posted via RS Mobile |

Well, the Mint has decided to take it to a whole new level, with a $100 for $100 silver coin. This bison coin is part of a new series, so there are more to come :lawl: http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/100-fo...3#.UZUhJ7WG0tM I don't know if I'll jump on board because I already have so many of the $20 ones... I'm running out of funds. But hey, we've got our feet wet already, right? |
