I have three pitbulls, they weigh in at over 80+ pounds each,no way I would let them sleep on the bed, don't like to wake up to drool all over the sheets.

I'm the pack leader and alpha male, the bed is the one place I won't allow them on and they know it.

Derek_N84 02-16-2012 08:36 PM

Hell no to letting my dog sleep on the bed. He knows that spot is only for the alpha.

alanp 02-16-2012 09:42 PM

My long hair chihuahua sticks to me like glue when i sleep, gets kinda annoying during the summer

Lil Bastrd 02-17-2012 10:49 PM

The only dog that has slept in my bed was the old man. They have to earn thee trust to be able to sleep loose. Then they have to earn the privilege of sleeping in the bed. The kennels are in our rooms, except the danes kennel as it was just too big.

i'm the pack leader, we have three dogs and two puppies from my mated bichons that my brother and his wifes fam have. the pups come over every other week and they all like to sleep together in the kennel as a fam. the biggest one is mine, if i sleep on the couch he tries to steal my pillow and i have to tell him to know his place. my mom's a pushover with them cuz they're cute so the big guy will take advantage if he has an opportunity. they all know my room is off limits, it's my space so i have to get cesar milan on them if they're feeling brave and try to take me on by the numbers lol.

brown dog is their cousin from upstairs. my aunts dog.

Hummus 03-16-2012 04:15 PM

hahaah thats why you just get your pet a pillow or something as a bed to avoid kicking issues lol

TekDragon 03-17-2012 12:37 PM

Our cat finds a way to curl up between the nook of my knees once I've fallen asleep. And then purr loudly when she's hungry.

Hot Karl 03-17-2012 01:47 PM

With a 8lb dog and a 20lb dog they both are little spooners when sleeping.

I have a German shepherd and when i got him he was about 6 months old and we had to keep him in the kettle at night for a couple days then after that he slept at the foot of my bed then he turned 2 and he just got so big he occupied my bed so I had to evict him from my bed and instead of looking around for a pet bed for him i bought him a futon (i know its a little much put we were renovating the house at the time and i didn't want him to get splinters and crap all over him) and he sleeps there every night and occasionally when there is a thunder storm and him being a baby ill sacrifice some space for him.

His name Commit

Lowered_Klass 03-18-2012 08:45 PM

Tell that to my father-in-law. He, not only lets his Pomeranian sleep in the bed, but he lets that dog lay on his head. The dog thinks it owns the place. My brother-in-law wishes death on him, daily. He's hopeful, since it only ever eats doggy treats, and tasty table scraps. I feel sorry for the animal. Attempts by the family to train him properly are quickly undone by my father-in-law as he spoils the damn thing.

Truenosan 04-02-2012 10:16 PM

I gave my dog the couch already. Shes happy with it, and knows that she is not allowed on the bed.

She tries to jump on my fiance's bed when we dont notice but we do.
We try not to let her get into the habit of sleeping on master's bed and focus on her sleeping in hers every night. So far so good...

Funny cookie...
