Movie Night Fundraiser for good times and for an even greater cause

Movie Night Fundraiser for good times and for an even greater cause

Hello everyone!

The Christopher Vang Memorial Fund (CVMF) is hosting our first ever fundraiser event! This is going to be a movie night fundraiser for good times and for an even greater cause.

We are going to be coming together for an exclusive showing of a movie that was very dear to Christopher Vang.

The Christopher Vang Memorial Fund requires a minimum contribution of $5000.00 to remain active and official as a non-profit charitable organization (so far, we have only been able to raise one fifth of that amount). We are hoping to raise enough money to set up a legacy/memorial fund where Chris’ lifelong passion for vehicles and helping others will be preserved forever. All funds raised will be re-invested through another foundation so that disbursements can be given to raise awareness for river safety, support, and scholarships/grants. Although Christopher Vang gave up his life helping others, he will live on forever by continuing to give back to those who may not be as fortunate.

Details are as follows:

WHEN: Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 8:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
WHERE: Hastings Community Centre (Address: 3096 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C. V5K 2A3
COST: $10.00
What to expect: a movie showing, games, refreshments (will be provided), a silent auction, and a chance to socialize!
