Usually you shouldn't store with an empty tank, depending on the length of time due to condensation build up. I'd either store it with an empty tank or a full tank, nothing in between. |

How do you plan to go from 55% to 0% in 4 months? I'm assuming you're going to pay off the accident? |

The only thing I have found with fuel stabilizer is that it is really hard to start after 4 months. I put it in my motorcycle for winter storage and found that I pretty much had to replace all the gas in the tank before it would start again. |
Fuel will survive in your tank and not "gum" shit up if sitting for a year. The only time I use fuel stabilizer is if its sitting for over a year. Your tires are radials they will not develop flat spots in 4 months. They will not develop flat spots even after a year, in the event they do then one quick rip down the HWY will round them out. Running your car for a few minutes every week of bi weekly will lead to condensation buildup in the oil so dont do that either. Once every month or two to dry it out and charge up the battery is good enough. |

edit: couldn't find it off the icbc website.. but here it is from another insurance site: "After your claim, you will move one level down the scale with each claim-free year of driving. However, three consecutive years of claim-free driving will return you to your pre-claim level on the scale if you were in a discount position, or to the base rate if you were in a surcharge position." - https://www.autorenewal.ca/claims_rated_scale.html I'm sure it's somewhere on the icbc website.. |
^ I searched their site after reading your post and I can't find it anywhere. Quote:
Edit: called my insurance broker, she said as long as I kept a car insured for 3+ years without a claim I should go back to 0 ... strange how I had to pay a surcharge in 2011 when the claim occurred in 2007 -_-;; |
That's what the broker said, will update this when I renew insurance then Posted via RS Mobile |
bump re-insured car after THREE years of INSURING a vehicle with ZERO accidents then your discount rate goes back to where you were before the accident ...one more year of surcharge to go! |
you un-insured your civic for 3 months to save $1200? lol. thats how much im pissing away every month on my truck with gas, insurance and loan payments. |
Make sure you buy TPL insurance for the your car, while its parked. |
