Poor AM Reception

So my radio reception in my 7G Accord is shit. FM works mostly only in Mono and AM is constantly bombarded by either high pitched whines or static. I do have an aftermarket deck in my car, but I tested a couple other decks and they all do the same thing in radio mode. My question is that apart from physically adding an exterior mount antenna to my car, are there any other options out there for boosting my reception?

AM is always going to give you shite reception. You can also be affected my internal electronics within the vehicle (my trucks gets some weird noises/vibrations/whines over the radio from time to time.

As far as boosting your reception, you could get a longer antenna:P Or you may also be driving in poor reception areas.

You can get an on-glass powered antenna. we have found awesome results from these things boosting both AM and Fm reception. they are pretty small too so they're not an eyesore.
