The way I see it, meat is meat. It was once a living animal. But having said that.. I don't think I could ever try dog. Just couldn't stomach it. Not judging people who do though. |

"No, How's it taste?" "It varies from person to person." :lawl: |

Im a believer in not eating animals with certan intellegence levels, dolphins, sharks, dogs, cats, whales, monkeys/apes, things like that, they are capable of intellect equivalent to 5 year olds, and can understand when you speak to them. eat rats, chickens, snakes, what ever, their dumb and can be mass produced to feed ourselves with. Im not going to tell someone eatings dogs is wrong, but I believe it is, and the notion of it disgusts me. But if I was starving in a third world country, and the only thing I could eat to survive was a dog, id do it. |
Meat is meat. Apart from humans, I'd eat any meat regardless of how smart or cute it was when it was living instead of on my plate. I would eat baby penguins raw if they were delicious. I'd take a bite out of a panda if they tasted yummy. I don't see why it matters. And I've eaten dog. Not bad. Little tough when I had it but not bad. Posted via RS Mobile |
I don't remember the taste of it; it was nearly a decade ago that I was in China. :heckno: |

You don't think dogs and cats can be bred for consumption for the masses? |

A good friend of mine is a dairy farmer it would shock you to know what these cows are capable of learning and the compassion they have. |
My question is do they like, walk into Petsmart and pick the cutest fluffiest puppy full of love in its eyes that just wants to be held and play fetch and love you forever and fry up that one in teriyaki sauce? Or do they have farms full of dumbed down bred for food only dogs like we have beef and chickens here? |
^ From what I've seen, they're bred for consumption. But some poorer people do pick up strays and eat them too. As you can probably tell, breeding dogs takes quite a bit of money to feed them, so the price usually reflects that. If anything, it's more of a delicacy VS your run of the mill meat. Same reason why Beef is more expensive than Poultry, except Beef has a higher amount of meat, so the price difference isn't that large. Not sure about cats, but where I had it, they had a dog/snake pen out back. So I at least knew I wasn't eating somebody's pet. My post must sound horrible. |
Id like to see the asian to white ratio of who's eaten dog/cat |
Meat is meat. We should send all those stupid bunnies running around to charities to feed hungry people. |
everytime I see a bunny hoppin along outside my shop I think mmmmmm tasty |

The black stuff is the skin when it's curled up? I won't rip on anyone eating whatever kind of meat or animal. That's their choice and I won't be hypocritical since I eat beef, pork, chicken. But damn, I don't think I would ever try dog. Just because I'm really picky with what I eat... Like I can eat chicken... but I wouldn't eat that chicken feet at dim sum for some reason. lol, I have no problem eating lobster tail. But when I went to the Boathouse and they served the whole lobster on my plate, expecting me to rip it apart myself... damn, I felt sick. lol... |

What if humans are more delicious than bacon? Posted via RS Mobile |
The cuter the animal the better it tastes? I don't see it a huge problem trying dog or anything...It's just a moral choice to eat man's best (and possibly delicious) friend or not... stew? soup? steak? KFD? Kebab style? Stir fry? Steamed? how would it be prepared? |
