Some buddies and I decided to have a SNES/N64 night on the weekend. Best laughs to be had are always with Super Smash Bros. Kirby's Rock move > Hammer

Won't be long before the boxes are worth more than the systems.

Earthbound can usually be had for about $90 locally or on ebay, clowns at the flea market wont match ebay prices :/

TouringTeg 05-31-2012 09:18 AM

I bought a few games from a local collector earlier this week (Fzero, Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, NHL 94). His SNES collection was sick. All the rare RPG's including, Breath of Fire I and II, Mario RPG, Zelda, Secret of Evermore, FFIII. Plus he had EVO and Earthbound.

Local seller has Secret of Mana for $80 in the box. Don't know if I can justify that much money for a SNES game lol Brings back a lot of memories for me though as I played through it 3 player with the multitap.

If you dont save it to play with your kids sell it to me. I still play my original NES my parents bought for me christmas of 86' and its the only vid game console my daughter plays. We love to play pac man donkey kong tetris and mario bros together. I got another kid on the way and cant wait for this one to be old enough to play these with me and my daughter.

eBay is the cheapest unless you hit up the flea market and find one that isn't sold by a game/system dealer

I sold my snes on craigslist a few months ago for $150
ff3, chrono trigger, secret of mana + 10 games
He was suppose to buy my nes aswell but then didn't when we met up been in my trunk since. Ive got alot of good games for that aswell.

I just got myself a usb to snes controller adapter earlier this week and now, I'm playing through all the good games I missed as kid through an emulator.

Don't know if this is too nerdy for you guys, but I watch a show called GameCenter CX and they only play retro games around the nes and snes era. You guys should defnitely check it out: GameCenter CX - YouTube

nah people think they are really rare or something but if you go to any store that sellls old school video games they will most have them. Maybe not chrono trigger but the rest are easy to find for $30-$40

Hondaracer 06-12-2012 02:51 PM

I don't know about that..local stores jack up the price even compared to EBay, and I haven't seen secret of mana or chrono trigger go for under $50 each on eBay

I got it from my old SNES. It's currently hooked up to a small 14" tube TV in my room which sucks ass to look at- I rather play via my laptop anyways. I must say that this solution is a lot better!

There are also those usb SNES controllers made by 3rd party companies, but they look cheap and shitty, so using the original controller is like a dream.
