REVscene Spring Meet 2012 Volunteers
 

as before, Spring Meet is just a casual gathering, no reservations for car spots clubs etc.

We do require a few walkers to keep things organized and civil.

interested - what are the positions and "job descriptions". This would be the first meet i'm volunteering at.

thank you for your interest. Unlike the Summer Meets (main), Spring Meets are more casual.

positions: setting up RS tent/takedown/manning tent - sticker/lanyard sales

traffic/ambassadors: manning entrances to parking lot, coordinate with team leader as to traffic flow. Ensuring safety for all . Report to team leader if any burnouts/dangerous driving actions, which gets forwarded to RCMP/VPD liasons.

those are the brief descriptions of volunteer positions.

I'm down for manning tent-sticker/lanyard sales. hopefully this will be done in pairs, so one person does not have to stay at the tent for the entire day..

i'm in for heading up traffic as usual.

I will be there along with my girlfriend 1st thing in the morning to help with the setup and will be there the till the end to take down the tents and what not.

Raiden will be team leader for traffic/ambassadors along with his lieutenants CorneringArtist and Form>function (thank you guys!)

booth will be Aznboi/girl 128 team and tigerhandheld shifts. Other admins/mods will be at the tent as well so you will not be stuck there manning/womanning it the entire meet.

Event controller and executive member will be !SG. If I can't answer or provide insight to a situation please defer to !SG.

All in all, just have fun. Relax. This meet is not meant to be stressful for the volunteers ( if you like stress wait till Summer Meet)

Hi guys and gals! My name is Ken. I'm not active in the local car scene in the meets area but I'm a regular at the UBC Sports Car Club (Username: Mirage) which some of the RS members are familiar with for local Autox/Track Days events.

I'm on-call for work on the day of the meet, but usually it is pretty quiet so I hope to be by to take some pics to gain some more people-picture taking experience. If you're interested, you may check out my stuff on my flickr. The photos I take are in good taste so if anyone do mind my pic-snapping, please let me know ahead of time. I look forward to meeting you all - It'll be my first RS meet I hope to make it out to! :)

Thank you Ken for your generous offer, by all means please stop by and snap pics if you wish. This is welcomed especially when it comes to the human interactions of this site, instead of just cars.

for a brief orientation and volunteer information session please be on site an hour prior to start of the meet.

so. 10am works. I'll be there with coffee and donuts for volunteers.
