Sometimes we tend to be in despair when the person we love leaves us, but the truth is, it's not our loss, but theirs, for they left the only person who couldn't give up on them.
Make the effort and take the risk..

my brother was sent to France to work for 9 months and missed the whole Olympics...add to that, they did not really broadcast it over there at all. I set up my laptop in front of the TV and we skyped for the whole game.
it was actually a lot of fun to watch with him that way

I was in London at the time, couldn't justify a ticket home for the olympics so I just watched most of the games streaming on the bbc (with no commentary...)
Went to the Maple Leaf Pub at Covent Gardens to watch the game. Arrived a few hours before the game and it was already at capacity. Lined up for an hour or so before I could get in.
There were random people in the pub. A bunch of irish guys who had been drinking since noon. They told me people just started rushing in and they had no idea why so they figured they might as well just stay and find out what all the fuss is about.
There was a guy next to me that honestly teared up everytime we scored a goal.
