This popped up about 18 hours ago, counting down 24 hours to.... something (which ends about noon our time).
I don't know about you guys (and I know this seriously dates me) but Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 are the reason I'm a gamer. They're the first PC games that really sucked me in and I love them so much I've replayed them multiple times as well as their sequels (Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torments and less so Neverwinter Nights) thanks to Gog.com.
I played BG 2 but wasn't into it that much. I thought Bioware said Dragon Age was the spiritual successor to BG

Yes Dragon Age is Bioware's take on it but honestly DA lost a lot of what I love about BG, mainly that whole top down party management and D&D style character progression. I love the pause and assign tactics to in the BG games.
