Looking for professional shop to add aux input into my vehicle

Hi guys,

I'm looking for any local shops out there in the lower mainland who will be able to install an aux input into the stock system (preferred) that's already in this vehicle, if that's even possible? Much appreciated if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Vehicle to be worked on: 2006 nissan 350z touring trim (bose 6disc)

I would appreciate a quote for labor + parts too if possible please.

I'm just hoping to plug an Ipod mp3 player into the aux controls, however I'm curious as to whether the steering wheel controls will still be usable with the aux? Such as seek (next/prev track), and volume key. I'd also like for the aux wire to come out of a discrete convenient spot as well please!

I did do some research before posting here seeking for help, and found that most people just go with the route of getting an aftermarket deck, however the look right now is nice, + I've also heard that in some cases the steering wheel controls do not work with the aftermarket system, so I'd like to keep it as simple as possible by just adding an aux to the stock system, and perhaps eliminating/substituting the AM mode for aux? Not sure, Thanks again! Will check back regularly.

By the looks of it, seems that USA SPEC PA15-NIS might be one of your only hopes.

USA SPEC: PA15-NIS
USA Spec iPod Interface Infiniti

Not sure if it's has aux in though, might just be for the ipod. There's no way to control anything other than volume through an aux input. If you own an Ipod then this module will allow full functionality of the ipod. I personally find the stock stereo's very limited and troublesome to search for songs because of the smaller display. Nothing worse than scrolling through a thousand songs one by one.

Aftermarket cd/dvd decks often have bigger screens and quicker loading for the ipod and come with other features such as aux in + bluetooth and many other options.

You can still interface the factory steering wheel controls to work with aftermarket stereos.

I agree wit cman.

I have a 350z and the very first thing I did was take the deck out and install a screen. Not only does it sound way better, but I also have bluetooth, ipod control, sd card, a much better eq and the ability to watch dvds and use navigation. It kind of makes the stock deck obsolete. And of course you can do a steering wheel control module too.

That said, if you really have your heart set on an aux or ipod control, any of the sponsors here can order and install one for you.

Thanks for the inputs so far guys, I really appreciate it. I've actually read up about the PA15-NIS before, and it seems like it'll give me just what I need.
However the capability of your aftermarket screen, especially with how you are still able to use the steering wheel controls is very tempting... But it does sound pricey... I do however have a question, I noticed that you mentioned a "steering wheel control module" what is this exactly? Is this a separate component that if you install with any aftermarket screens/decks you will be able to keep your steering wheel controls operational?

If it is what I think it is, could anyone give me a rough estimate on how much I'd be looking at to get all of this done through a shop? So I'm just looking for the quote on labour (installation of everything) + the price of a steering wheel control module(if this is a separate component?) + any additional wires that I may need? And I plan to be providing the screen of my choice to replace the stock deck.

love how your z's looking btw orgasm!
