It's not that we don't like to have fun. We do.

But since Revscene called everyone out and set the event, there is a certain level of expectation and responsibility. The public entrusts us to keep things orderly and civil. A few strong revs here and there are fine, but peeling out and burnouts are frowned upon at RS meets. You ask "why?"

Well, because of

1. Property Damage. The rock pellets kick up and chip other cars. Yes it has happened before at our past meets.
2. Accidents. If you lose control of your car, you could hit someone (no one ever plans to crash). Are you all willing to accept full responsibility for the consequences of your wreckless actions? Give up any sort of second chances? E.g. Stanley Cup Rioters
3. "Heaty"ness. It draws the wrong type of attention. People will call 911 and say there's a street race and everyone driving a modded car will get harassed. And yes it has happened at our past meets.
4. Our common hate for showoffs. No one likes a show-off. From what I've seen over the years, sure a few kids will fist bump you, but majority are making an L sign on their forehead.
5. It's a Meet and Greet. RS meets always have been! If you want to rip around, drift and show others what your car can do, why not take it to Mission or Autocross with the pro's. They can show you how it's done.. properly and safely.

Feel free to add, it's an open discussion and I'm really interested if there is a solution to this... or it's just something that will JUST happen at EVERY meet.

Have fun on a track or autocross site. A public parking lot next to a public beach is not the place for showing off your mad tyte skills.
