Massive Facebook unfriend trend going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People used to add everybody on Facebook, because it probably was nothing but a popularity contest...now here comes unfriending trend...people deleting eachother.

"Morley Winograd, director of the Institute of Communication Tech Management at the University of Southern California, believes much of the unfriending stems from users becoming more privacy-conscious as they grow older, according to a Complex blog."

kunoman1 03-26-2012 11:07 AM

Statistically speaking..that means everyone has been unfriended at least once :heckno:

GGnoRE 03-26-2012 11:09 AM

Never understood people with more than 1000 friends...

lowside67 03-26-2012 11:10 AM

HOLY FUCK BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never mind, it's just a filler story from a random blog. Not exactly worthy of 16 exclamation marks in the title... why not put it in all-caps too?

Who gives a flying fuck about this?

Ronin 03-26-2012 11:31 AM

Everyone on my Facebook I've either met in real life or have talked to on the internet for years like many of you assholes. I don't get why people add randoms.

Unless they're hot.

Psykopathik 03-26-2012 11:39 AM

maybe people realized that of all the people they added as friends only 1 or 2 actually posted anything?

i have 500 friends on Facebook.
I have seen/met everyone in real life on there. Most of them come from High School, Elementary School, UBC, Cadets, and more recently... RS :lawl:

I do regular pruning of my list anyways... i tend to keep the hotties on there though

If you didn't say "flip guy" I would've thought you were talking about TEH lee image :troll::troll::troll:

Why unfriend someone unless you have a huge falling out or they've personally offended you in some way?
Don't add them in the first place, or don't accept their friend request in the first place.
If you're old enough to use facebook, you're old enough to gauge whether you're adding someone worth adding in the first place.

i don't post anything on facebook unless i'm willing to share it with the whole world anyway, so don't really care if somebody i met once at a club knows what my status is

never unfriended a single person. (like i could afford to anyway :alone:)

Psykopathik 03-26-2012 01:03 PM

i unfriended someone cuz all they did was talk about Jesus. seriously, nothing buy God's will and NOTHING ELSE.

nice person but damn.....have you nothing else going on in your life?

vafanculo 03-26-2012 01:04 PM

I've never unfriended someone, don't take fb too seriuosly. Really wanna delete it but it has its pros.

Been defriended tons of times. I find it funny when a guy defriends you though. Seems like a bitch move lol

spideyv2 03-26-2012 01:16 PM

Religious posts = instant defriending fo rme.. hahah. :fuckyea:

TheKingdom2000 03-26-2012 02:16 PM

For those people who get annoying posts on their news feed, instead of defriending them, why not just edit their priority?
Just click the little arrow to the right of their name and unsubscribe from their updates. That way you can still bet here friend and not have to read their updates.

falcon 03-26-2012 02:23 PM

I trimmed a bit recently. Just deleted a few people who I never talk to/or didn't ever in the first place (just randoms from HS and such) or people I don't want to talk to.

My friends list is about 160, and I was being quite generous with leaving some people on.

jagan323 03-26-2012 02:28 PM

even if ppl deleted me off their friends, I wouldn't know...
