I used to have a dog owned by my whole family . So I didn't have to take care of it 24/7 . But recently my gf and I wanted to get a small dog. The cost of it was around $1000 and with all the medical insurance fees etc. Adds up to a good buck.
Also when the dog is getting old and problems occur, it takes grand after grand to heal her. Then again its a price to pay, just letting everyone know before they go ahead and just adopt/buy a dog.
All seems right in the world when reading/watching a dog rescue. Simply amazing creatures and it makes me sad when I see people treating them with such disregard and disrespect.
Thanks for sharing
quick edit: I noticed the link and donated $25 to the cause

Donated to Hope for Paws. When I watched the vid, I was also Gave my dog an extra hug as he just got back from the vet hospital. He was throwing up and shaking all night, initial bloodwork shows very high liver enzyme (10x normal), we're waiting for final bloodwork on Thursday. We're hoping it's just an infection...he's looking better today, but if not...
