Has anybody rooted their phone yet? Looking to get some feedback before I attempt myself.
i rooted my international and have a custom rom running. i rooted my rogers one but still on stock rom. took like 1min to do if you know what you are doing
you can download apps directly off google, there is no jailbreak on android. its comes down to whether you want to pay for the app or not and keep getting updates on the regular
Getting the S3 from Rogers on monday only thing I'm concerned with is the built quality and dropping the damn thing. Can anyone recommend some good sleak cases from metro?
they are ok, but they are really really thin and doesn't really provide any drop protection. it'll protect your backplate from scratching that's about it.. i grabbed a few of those from my rep and i don't use it. just go get an otterbox if you are worried about dropping. but as for screen protectors get a wet application one. the zagg ain't bad, i got an ishieldz on mine and it looks great.
if you want to download apps just search on google for the apk and load it on to ur phone and install. don't really need to jailbreak it.
What's the difference between cheap and expensive screen protectors..? I just get $3 ones from Bill at Odlin and put it on myself.

the point of a screen protector is to prevent the phone from scratching, not preventing it from breaking. the phone screen is "scratch resistant" it's not scratch proof. so how does a screen protector have anything to do with how tough the screen is?
curious question to the ex-galaxy nexus owners..do they still have quality issues with the SAMOLED screen on this phone? If so the LTE version or Tegra 3?
Y U GUYS CONFUSE...
i took my S3, raped the screen with keys and its okay
lol i dunno i had a guy come in with a fairly scratched up s3.. dunno wtf he did with it but it'll definitely scratch.. but not that easily i'll agree as i went at it pretty good on the demo unit XD
At this point seeing the speed difference between LTE and non-LTE; as well as the benchmarks between dual and quad core, I'd say LTE is more beneficial than the quad core.
