I've heard a lot of ppl dis SenseUI but looking at it it looks great imo i don't get why people like touchwiz over it ?
sense ui is a real resource hog, and a huge battery drainer. i like the way it looks as well, but from my experience with the htc desire i could barely make it through a day without having to constantly worry about the battery

You can always download another launcher !!
Few of them have really stock android feel to them.. plus they're all very customizable!!

You can even delete the sense launcher and widgets as well when you have root. But don't quote me on that because I do not have the phone. It may cause weird errors so ask around on XDA first.

Sense WAS a real resourse hog and battery drainer on early HTC Android devices. After the Desire HD, it got a lot better.

I believe SENSEUI is not just a launcher, there are certain things written into the SYSTEM apk

Yup they are. If you have an HTC phone, it's not worth replacing Sense with a default launcher. I once thought it was, but it actually works a lot better with it.

Just use Android Revolution rom, and you will have a much better experience than stock. It's available for most higher end HTC phones, even the X

I have the Sensation rom on my Desire HD. Although I have to admit, this phone is starting to feel a little old...

TouchWiz is just simple..still bad haha
they're curved differently than the galaxy (i didnt even know the galaxy was curved lol)

the edges are curved or bezeled if you will so that there's a seamless swiping motion from left-right top-bottom (so you dont feel the transition from housing and screen)

might be able to notice it from this pic

Spoiler!

As for SenseUI it doesn't sound bad at all then ^^ especially if battery drain issues have been improved going less than a day or two between charging would suck

(maybe i should use two phones, would like to have a droid to play around with)

If i put my daily testing towards the phone. I will be able to judge the battery. I twitter/4sq/FB like mad...with instagram now, even more juice used
I get a day from my phone if lucky. Especially during playoff season, its hard to judge

There will always be roms so it doesn't really matter.

I prefer touchwiz, don't know why people go all crazed up over aosp. Sense however looks strange to me. But I never tried sense so I can't comment on performance.

the phone looks very slick but the fact that the battery is not changeable and no microSD expansion slot especially with android is a real deal breaker for me.

i would much rather wait for what the s3 has to offer since it will be a more popular phone with much more tweaks (roms, kernels etc) and support system (more users) available later on.

Changeable battery isn't really a dealbreaker for most anymore. I've always made it with the single battery on all my phones.

I've played with the rogers version of the one x, performance speed on the whole is comparable to the international version. only thing i don't like is the 16gb memory. btw, the rogers version is really the HTC One XL, it's almost identical but not 100% identical, i took out he sim try and it's not even interchangeable.

Battery life for me is actually pretty good, i streamed the entire hockey game on wifi today so it was about 2.5hrs? only dropped me about 50% battery, considering constant screen on with wifi and stuff running.. it's not too bad.. i've been getting down to about 20-30% ish by the end of the night with moderate usage.

For me it's not so much replacing batteries that die, but rather doing battery pulls due to a bad ROM flash, phone freezing, etc.

I always wondered about the new phones that have non-removable batteries. Does that mean that the phone will not freeze at all? Worse, if you somehow managed a bad ROM flash and need a battery pull, I'd imagine you would have to wait for the battery to drain.

For those of you with said phones, have you ever found a need to pull the battery?

That's my only reluctance about getting an international One X vs waiting for the SGS3 (assuming that battery is removable).
