now that you realize owning a car based on the gas consumption (excluding the maintenance,insurance etc) you want to find a "gas saving" technique.
Unfortunately for you, there is no "gas saving" technique other than to not drive.

Checking your tire pressure regularly is a good way to save gas =)

This reminds of an additive a guy wanted to sell in our gas station. you would put it in every time you filled up and claimed so save up to 10% in gas. Gas was around a $1 a liter back then. So if someone bought $50 of gas he would save $5. The additive cost $5.

It doesn't make sense at all! If that product works, I doubt car manufacture put it on all models to achieve better gas mileage.
