| Speeder hits 265 km/h on Hwy 1
Three men are without their cars after being busted driving at excessive speeds on Highway 1 through Chilliwack early Thursday morning.
One of the drivers reached a speed of 265 kilometres an hour in his Aston Martin before being stopped by police and having his vehicle seized. The driver of a Audi R8 was also stopped after being clocked at 176 km/h.
A passenger in the Aston Martin had been stopped two hours earlier after being spotted by a Mountie driving another car at 147 km/h.
All three drivers were friends who were in the Chilliwack area for a birthday party. It turned into a costly night for the trio. The drivers of the Audi and Aston Martin were fined $483. The driver of the first vehicle was fined $368. All the cars will also be impounded for a week.
But Cpl. Jeff Bodner, with RCMP Fraser Valley Traffic Services, said the night could have ended much worse for the men.
Bodner noted that it was raining and roads were slick early Thursday morning and seven vehicles were passed by the speeding vehicles.
"If that guy travelling at more than 200 km/h loses control of the vehicle . . . he's going to be taking those vehicles out. It's going to be catastrophic."  |

That's weak as shit, 265 in an aston martin? My 83 245 did that on hwy 1 by cypress. Bunch of pussies.

265 is a bit much
however...pfff doing 140-160km does not deserve getting ur car taken away or watever the fuck the consequence is. Receive a ticket and walk away

Amazing how many dumb fucks there are here.
A speed limit is there for a reason, it's to regulate the flow of traffic so that even dumber fucks don't end up around a pole at 60kph.
Read the fucking sign, and obey the fucking sign. I swear to god if I catch some fuckface doing this near me on a highway I'll wreck them, no joke.
Get some common sense, grow the fuck up, and if you don't want to do that, then fuck off to some other country, end.
