not bad. Will try it out

SkinnyPupp 04-17-2012 05:40 PM

Looks good but I hope they have a good interface. If it is browser based like Docs, I'm not that interested.

I love Dropbox, it is SO handy. I may switch though, because hey, it's google :fullofwin:

How to keep your free 25GB of Microsoft SkyDrive storage - Gadgetbox on msnbc.com

it's decreasing it to 7GB soon.

Jsunu 04-24-2012 10:06 AM

Mine says not ready yet as well. It apparently hasn't been deployed en mass yet, just to certain users.

i wonder if that would affect the MS office plug-in when google drive takes over. currently i have to plugin to sync the version i work from the dropbox folder, and i make another local copy that is synced to skydrive.

GGnoRE 04-24-2012 03:12 PM

Damn it, mine is not ready yet...

winson604 04-25-2012 01:51 PM

Just got an email saying it's ready. Liking it so far and it's free so ain't complaining. This + dropbox = dope

PornMaster 04-25-2012 02:34 PM

would be dope if you can use this with ps3

Eclypz 04-25-2012 07:18 PM

woohoo! 10GB single file size limit!

tdeweyn 04-25-2012 09:53 PM

Sorry staying with DropBox. Already got like 10.2GB free.

jackmeister 04-25-2012 10:02 PM

Is it possible to work on a file on Google Drive and then save it there, without a copy on the computer (like dropbox)?

SkinnyPupp 04-25-2012 11:24 PM

OK after seeing how I can do image searches on my own photos, I think I'll be switching

Google Drive Goggles

:ahwow:

Hehe 04-26-2012 12:54 AM

I am still testing, but so far so good.

I think I might be moving my off-site backup of important files to Google Drive.

It's really fast too. My friend hit 5MB/s download on his company's 100mbps connection on a video I shared.

Now... where can I find a consumer ISP that offers reasonable symmetric connection..

It's only for existing Skydrive users, which is good if you are one:

My wife had never used SkyDrive before, but had a hotmail account. I logged into her SkyDrive for the first time and claimed the 25GB no problem..

I guess a current Live account is all you need, then. New Live accounts are the ones that aren't valid.
