Court wait time. Just curious how long has it been taking for you guys' court time to arrive? I fought my ticket last August and I have yet to receive any mails. It's been over half a year already. TIA. |
Last may and haven't heard anything yet |
been a year for me :lol |
had to wait over a year for my court date |

My longest was 16 months. |

year and a half for me |
holy shit, hahaha, thats awsome, looks like I wont hafto worry about my ticket for a couple years |
Mine's been almost 2 years and still no date yet. My guess is that if it's under a certain amount, they don't even bother.. |
lol shit wtf... some major clogging going on. |
Here's some information I found that may be useful to you guys Quote:

hey PJ make sure to make a thread or update this one if / when you actually do get your court date, im pretty interested to see if they will just give it up if it really does take 2 years to get a court date. these massive delays are to be expected anyway, I remember 5 some years ago the delay was only 6 months or so, and it just kept getting worse, and here we are now. Cops are giving out tickets more and more for dumber and dumber things. |

I'd like the OP to keep us updated as well. I disputed a stupid ticket I received in January, and want to see if I can use this "reasonable time period" argument when or if it ever goes to court. anyone else care to chime in with their dispute experiences? |
These days with all the BS laws lots of people are disputing so they are backed up. Expect to wait 12-16 months. |

been almost a year for me now |

Could this work for even the small claims? Dinosaur's post in OT: http://www.revscene.net/forums/66303...t-backlog.html "Case law dictates that when a case drags on more than 18 months without a trial — because of Crown delays or court backlog — it’s in danger of being thrown out before trial because of "unreasonable delay." -Source: 'Disgusting' court backlog may free hit and run accused - British Columbia - CBC News |

Mine was only a parking ticket, so I could see how they could just waive mine off. Basically I put a toonie in the meter, but it didn't register. I wasn't going to pay twice, so I just left it. Sure enough, I came back to a ticket. I disputed it on the grounds of a faulty meter. And like I said, it's been almost 2 years now and I haven't heard back, so I think in my case it's safe to assume they just dropped it. If it was a traffic ticket, there will probably be more intricacies. A coworker of mine got his court date 9 months after he disputed. |

filed for dispute december of 2010, just got court date for may next month. |

I would definitly get a lawyer to draft up an 11b asap for you, waiting 2 years to go to court is retarded |
good to hear people arent hearing back for for over a year...I disputed a couple of tickets so they wouldn't suspend my license and make me wait another year to get my class 5. |
back in the day it was like 10-12 month wait. guess they are really backlogged |
Now that you mention it, it's almost a year for me as well. My ticket is under $100 and will cost the system more than that just to see me in court even if I end up needing to pay :fuckyea: |
