TD CSR

I recently applied to the job position and already passed the first screening interview. I've read this from RFD which has a few experiences on being a CSR.

I was wondering if anyone from the RS community is/has working/ed as a TD CSR and what they think about it.

Funny, Coast Capital was offering students a full-time job in summer/part time in school as a customer service representative. Was really considering it, but decided i would finish all my volunteer hours before thinking of anything else.

From what I've read, its great in terms of learning the basics of banking and customer service, but after a while, it feels like you've learned all you can, and you just want to get out.

I recommend the csr job only if you feel like you can dedicate yourself to the job for at least a while. Or if youre looking to enter the banking industry (sucks in vancouver)

So the interview process requires business professional attire. I'm assuming this means a suit.

Suit. No cologne. Nothing gold unless its your wedding ring.

Watches and tie clips are not necessary.

Has anyone had any experience applying in person before by talking to the Customer Service Manager? I'm thinking of doing it because so far, I haven't received a call from any banks from applying online.

Thanks!

Yes.

Back in University I was looking for a PT job to kill time and make some money so I walked in with resume, cover letter, and references on hand to speak directly to the Manager. I got an interview on the spot and got hired the next day. I was planning to hit up all TD locations I wanted to work for but luckily only had to go to one.

Good luck.

Thanks! What kind of process did you have to go through the day after the interview? Did they call you back and then tell you about the "3 full day" orientation thing? Do you remember what you said when they asked you "Why TD?" and any other questions? Thanks

In case you're wondering, you go to the 3 day orientation thing if you're a successful hire. If you are hired through the online process, they will give you a phone interview first then tell you to go to a TD networking event in which you will be interviewed by one MCS. If you don't get hired then, keep trying.

Btw, you speak cantonese and/or mandarin? Chinatown TD is hiring...but it is one of the hardest branches to work at fyi.
