Since I rarely carry much cash on me I usually pay for all the bigger meals with card and my gf just pays for all the smaller bills or if the restaurant is cash only. I don't really keep track but I think it's probably along the lines of 70:30?

Caught up over dinner with a friend on Monday night, even before when we would go out to eat I felt like the need to pay. As long as she tries to put some sort of a fight for the bill, I wouldn't mind, which she did. So I told her to get the next one.

There was this one time I went on a date and the girl didn't even bother to bring her wallet, ID or anything. Just herself. :rukidding:

I usually pay for everything just because I'm in better financial shape (no student loans, quite a bit saved up). GF doesn't really expect crazy gifts or anything, and is fairly frugal with her money so I am completely fine with paying for her food.

If she was wasteful and blew money away then I would change my mind.

Now that my girlfriend is graduated and has a nursing job I'm not paying for shit!:lawl:
But seriously. I payed for most while she was in school. She would always want to, but I knew she was stretched thin. She is going to be making more money than me now, so she will probably be footing the bill more often than me.

I make ok money, and my family is a small comfortable working class family. I work my ass off for my money and I spend it the way I enjoy it. I've really never been used for my money. Me and my close friends work on a socialist sort of level. When one of us in the group is really down on cash, everyone else will pitch in a bit so they can still do what we are doing, wether it be a vacation, or a nice restaurant or golf round. Money doesn't mean shit if you can't enjoy what you spend it on with those close to you. It always comes back around.

All I'm saying is there are users out there and it's girls and guys too.even the one your dating or relationship with.

I'm Chinese and not sure what your background is,but is she's Chinese or asian a lot of it is status.so if your lower educated,makes less than her the Chinese or Asian family will at point get her to ditch her for a higher status guy.the accountant at kg,pharmacist

I'm 4th generation canadian with scottish background, she is from a well off ukranian family. She's pretty fucking hot, so if she wanted a guy for his money she'd find someone richer than a moderately successful chef/part restaurant owner that drives a volkswagen. I get people use people for money, but its usually pretty fucking obvious, and its always pretty clear if someone is faking feelings for someone based on moving up the social ladder. It seems like this must have happened to you before and you are lumping everyone into the same category.

well ok with white ppl i can see a girl still being with a guy even if hes makes less but not with chinese . i have a white guy friend and he does some office job and his gf is a nurse. he doesnt have a car. he pays his rent and she pay her half of rent.
i know for sure hes not rich and is just working guy.

If I ask her out to eat, I pay. If she asks me out to eat, she pays. (Based on a 5 year relationship lol)

I tend to grab the bill most of the time because its just "proper" in a sense. Well for me that is. I don't complain. If I'm broke and she knows it, then she pays. If she's broke and I know it, I pay.

It depends I think with frds is pretty even. When i have a gf I would pay most of the time(never dating a student again ><) but sometimes they do pay. I don't mind it as long as they appericate or at least try to pay the bill once a while.

i paid for our date yesterday and it was EPIC :D

If you're just starting to date then I saw go Dutch the first few times but when in a relationship it should be as close to 50/50 as possible. You get dinner this time and they get it next time or next activity. I usually spend more money on the guy :s stopping that lol
