anyone had experience with BMO job interview process?

I recently had an phone interview like last week and it been almost 6-7 business days that they didnt get back to me. Did anyone have experience with BMO job interview before? How long does it usually take to get back to applicants?

Are they good with follow up with Phone call or Email even if they decide not to hire you?

It usually takes about 2 weeks maximum to call back, it also does not hurt to ask them about your current standing for the job, a friendly email or phone call asking "Hey, I had a phone interview recently with (name), I was just wondering if that position was still available for hire?"

i went through a face to face interview first, then followed by a phone interview. After the face to face interview i waited almost a week and still didn't get a call, so i called the manager who interviewed me. Luckily her response on the phone was " oh hey i was just about to call you ! " I know calling in sometimes show initiative, but initiative usually isn't the deal breaker.

Yah, email works too. But from what ive experienced... Applicants who are referred in yield the highest success rate. I hope you were referred / competitng against non-referrals

The Co-Op process with my friends for HSBC (yeah, not BMO, but maybe similar, right?) applying for positions in database management / software programming basically went like this: First Phone Interview, Second Phone Interview, Security Check, Hired. I think the process took like a month from first interview to finish.

One of my classmates, extremely charismatic, called in after first interview to say thanks and suck up a little. He was offered the job but declined and referred another guy who didn't even apply. He got the job. I asked him what he did to get so much pull and he said "I just became friends with the interviewer".

Nope, but that might've been because this was during exams at BCIT and they didn't want to bother or try to schedule an interview to fit with our schedule. Or maybe BCIT just has more pull/rep with HSBC for co-op applications, especially since the location hiring was so close to campus (5min drive, 15-20min walk)

Depends on what position you're applying.

If a position doesn't even require in person interview, it's certain that it's just some random entry level position they couldn't care less about.
